Likes:
1. It smells so awesomely sweet one would just end-up nothing but happy owning this!
2. Yogurt like texture is very smooth to touch feels like it's the best way to pampering my skin
3. Effective in moisturizing and softening my face every time I use it
Yucks:
1. May be too nourishing sometimes and get break-outs the next day eek! This happens to me quite often when I have a very bad skin
Status: I have this for a year now and the bottle is still half-full. I could have finish the mask up quickly if its' not because of my pimple-prone skin few months back.

Product Description:
SkinFood Papaya Yogurt Mask Wash Off is a yogurt mask containing extracts of papaya which promises to help in replenishing essential moisture and nutrients back to your skin.
The mask is watery in my opinion, but this make it very much similar to the texture of yogurt for consumption which I like. The yogurt is white in colour when it's spread out; the mask comes with tiny green bits and god knows what actually are they doing there. No one seems to know exactly what the bits are for, to help with exfoliating? Or burst extra papaya nutrients and vitamins to the skin?
I don't know, and no one seems capable of explaining it either. But what I do know, is that I've been using the bits to slightly exfoliate my face when I'm about to clean the mask off. Also, if I do pinch the bits hard enough it will break apart, and I'm quite disappointed by it, for it looks like it is just a plastic that is not beneficial to the skin at all.
In spite of the green plastic bits there (I supposed), I'm still loving this mask very much. All I have to do is to apply the mask on a cleaned face and leave it on for about 15-30 mins. I like to leave the mask a little longer than recommend.
When I wash off the mask, it always give my face a softening effect, much like the soft, bouncy, well-moisturized baby skin. Of course, like any other home-remedy mask, the effect doesn't last long, but the softness it gives last on me well enough throughout the day. It gives my face a dewy look, unlike the brightening mask like the SkinFood Rice Mask Wash Off and much other sheet masks which I didn't feature it here.
Why are papayas used in skincare?
- Papaya will help with hydrating and whitening of skin.
- 'Papain' the enzyme in papaya that cooks usually use to soften/tenderize the meat, is helpful in removing dead skin cells thereby softening the skin
- Papaya is rich in Vitamins A, C and E which nourishes the skin (to the extra mile~). These Vitamins will strengthen the skin and thus improve the overall skin condition, and clarify the skin.
Now I know that whitening and hydrating effect are usually credited to lemon and cucumber, but having papaya as an alternative sounds promising to me too. Changing things around may be good, for these fruits has each different levels of Vitamins and anti-oxidants properties. I like to believe in the idea that using different kinds of anti-oxidants products for the same anti-oxidants properties is better than using only lemon. :)
